This tape is an open cell polyurethane foam, impregnated with chemically stabilized acrylics and backed with a high performance acrylic adhesive. It remains permanently elasticated has excellent resistance to UV, mildew and ageing and will not crack, split, bleed or dry out whilst performing throughout continuous movement cycles.

Xpanda can be painted with any water based acrylic or latex paint and being non-migratory, it is compatible with most caulking materials.

After application, this foam tape will expand to fill gaps and will adapt to uneven surfaces, providing long term thermal and acoustic insulation.

Xpanda 2-13 will expand from 2mm in its compressed state to a maximum of 13mm once unwound and applied.

At this size Xpanda will provide a water tight seal between 2-5mm, a thermal, acoustic and draught/dust seal from 6-7mm and anything larger will be purely a gap filler.

Store between 1­°C to 25°C

Temperature affects the speed at which the foam will expand.

In cooler conditions it will take longer for the foam to expand, in this instance warming the foam can be useful to help speed up the expansion process.

In the summer months (hotter days) it will, of course, expand at a faster rate. In these conditions we recommend storing the foam in a cool area to aid in a more controlled installation and also to prevent unwanted expansion in the pack.

Once the roll has been opened the foam will begin to expand.
