Compression values from uncompressed to 75% compressed:

 

0% compressed - Protects ingress of Dirt & Insects.
10% compressed - Air flow, Acoustic barrier & all above.
50% compressed - Thermal Insulation, Dust Seal & all above. 
75% compressed - Driving rain & all above.

 

This tape is an open cell polyurethane foam, impregnated with chemically stabilized acrylics and backed with a high performance acrylic adhesive. It remains permanently elasticated has excellent resistance to UV, mildew and ageing and will not crack, split, bleed or dry out whilst performing throughout continuous movement cycles.

Xpanda can be painted with any water based acrylic or latex paint and being non-migratory, it is compatible with most caulking materials.

After application, this foam tape will expand to fill gaps and will adapt to uneven surfaces, providing long term thermal and acoustic insulation.

Xpanda 1-9 will expand from 1mm in its compressed state to a maximum of 9mm once unwound and applied.

At this size Xpanda will provide a water tight seal between 1-3mm, a thermal, acoustic and draught/dust seal from 4-5mm and anything larger will be purely a gap filler.
